What are the 3 important cheerleading positions?

The important skills of a cheerleader involve tumbling, good athlete, dancing, jumping, and stunting. These mentioned skills are a basic requirement for cheerleading. Here are the 3 important positions that show the skills of the performer.

  1. The base position: Every stunt needs a strong base and it is the number of performers you see at the bottom holding the flyer up. The bases are usually the strongest and the bigger to provide the best support to the flyer by holding and lifting him/her.

The foot placement is of great importance in the bases as a little jerk can destroy the stunt and the performance of the flyer. In addition, there are two types of bases naming the main base and the secondary or side base.
