Chapter 1: Preparation (2 minutes)

Place yourself a comfortable place. If you’ve done that, close your eyes and draw attention to how you breathe. That is not all, endeavor to notice how you feel. There are other things you should also notice – your body, your breath and your thoughts. Remember, these things affect your creative abilities. 

Set an intention to cultivate creativity and inspiration. Do you want to fill a deep need? Is it a matter of purpose or calling? Call to mind what you hope to achieve. While still in that comfortable setting, take a deep breath so much so that you will feel the air filling your lungs. Then, in a slow pattern, release the air like a sigh. As you exhale, imagine yourself letting go of every tension and negativity. 

Chapter 2: Visualization (5 minutes)

Imagine a peaceful, natural setting that inspires you. Let me give you a tip – think of an ocean and its waves coming and going. Or, think of a garden filled with fruits, trees and birds chirping. Imagine yourself accomplishing that one goal you so desire. 

Next, start scanning your body from the crown of your head. Continue scanning till you get to the sole of your foot. Do not leave your relaxed state. Observe your reactions, expectations and judgments. Engage all your senses to fully immerse yourself in this creative space.

Release tension with your breath. Just notice, accept and let go. As you exhale, visualize your creative ideas flowing freely and effortlessly.

Chapter 3: Affirmations (2 minutes)

At this point, repeat certain phrases to yourself as you create space for creativity to thrive. Say these following things after me to find peace:

“May I be of help to someone in need. May the work of my hands bring a solution to a person’s problem. May I be able to heal wounds and plant seeds that will grow into success. If my experiences can uplift someone, may it be so. If it can make someone find a clearer path, may it be so. May I stabilize my mental health”

“Let my visions be an empowerment to someone in need. May a loved one benefit from my heart of compassion. May I be joyful and stimulate others to do so. If my voice is a tool to help someone speak, let them hear it. Let my voice remind them that they are not weak.”

“I have generous ideas and inspirations that serve as fuel and fire my weaknesses. Let this inspiration flow to others so that they can benefit from it too”

Still in the comfortable position, bring your attention to your affirmations and then to your breath. Always try to notice how you feel.

Chapter 4: Gratitude and Integration (1 minute)

Express gratitude for the creative energy and inspiration you’ve cultivated. Make it a resolve to carry this feeling and attitude around you. If possible, wear a smile.
